Westray is approximately 26 miles north of Kirkwall - 12 minutes by scheduled air service or 1 hour 25 minutes by ro-ro ferry.
A minibus meets all scheduled ferry services and stops in Pierowall village before connecting with the passenger only ferry service to Papa Westray.
Cycles can be hired on the island.
